Lighthouse Baptist Church

OUR HISTORY

 

Lighthouse Baptist Church was started in 1997 when Pastor Carl Brothers and his family came as missionary pastor from the United States.  The church met in a community center to begin with and slowly grew to a group of 35 people.  Pastor Brothers moved away and another missionary pastor came and the group met in Red Cliff, AB for a time.  In 2000, that missionary pastor moved away and the group was without a pastor until Pastor Miller came in 2002, at that time the group met at the Cultural Centre at Medicine Hat College.  At the end of 2002, the group moved to its current location, renting the Seventh Day Adventist building for Sunday Services.  Over the years, the group has dwindled to only a few families through moving due to jobs, loss of spouses, and the aging of members.
